PEAK Gubernatorial Debate Set for May 22

KINGSPORT, Tenn. –  PEAK – Kingsport Young Professionals will host a Gubernatorial Debate on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 PM at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education.

Gubernatorial candidates Mae Beavers (R), Diane Black (R), Randy Boyd (R), Craig Fitzhugh (D), Beth Harwell (R), Bill Lee (R), and Kay White (R) will be in attendance.

“We are thrilled to welcome the 2018 gubernatorial candidates to Kingsport and further PEAK’s commitment to activating Young Professionals to be engaged in the election process and cast informed ballots on Election Day.  PEAK’s past debates have welcomed the entire community to participate and learn about the candidates, and we look forward to providing this opportunity again in 2018,” said PEAK Past President Matt Storey.

“PEAK has been blessed with several opportunities over the years to help young professionals in our region stay informed of political matters,” said event organizer and PEAK board member Jeremiah Clark.  “This event will have a significant impact not only on young professionals in Kingsport, but also for all citizens of the Tri-Cities, as it demonstrates that our future governor cares about and takes an active interest in the success of our community.  PEAK is thankful for the feedback and support we have received from the gubernatorial candidates, our local government leaders, and the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce in working to establish this debate.”

Media Sponsorship for this event is provided by The Business Journal of Tri-Cities Tennessee/Virginia.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are currently available.
