A quick update.

Happy Wednesday!  Here’s a quick update on what’s new with PEAK.

Join us for a free HIIT class at the YMCA for the April PEAK Around Town.  Cross your fingers for pretty weather, as the class will take place outside if weather permits!  Following the HIIT class, attendees will enjoy healthy snacks provided courtesy of Food City and have an opportunity to learn more about programs offered by the YMCA.  All attendees who pre-register will receive a free gift from the YMCA, as well as a free 7-day pass to the Y.  (An additional activity will be offered for attendees who would like to attend, but would prefer not to participate in HIIT.)

We’re excited to welcome Zachariah Ballinger, author of The Hot Seat, to Kingsport for the next training in our professional development series.  Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about best practices helpful for successful job interviews.  This is a free training, but pre-registration is required.

In conjunction with the upcoming Downtown Kingsport Cleanup, PEAK will be hosting a Barking Lot cleanup from 10 AM to noon on Saturday, April 21.  Attendees will sand and paint benches and the trash can and assist with weeding.  Following the cleanup, we’ll head downtown for lunch as a group.

The May PEAK Around Town will be here before you know it!  We’ll be gathering at High Voltage around 6 PM to play yard games and enjoy beer and snacks.  More details to follow, but in the meantime please save the date for this event that is sure to be as fun as it was last year.

We’re very excited to share that we will be hosting a Gubernatorial Debate on Tuesday, May 22.  Click here for full details.

Is there really such a thing as good stress?  We think so!  Read more about it in this week’s Professional Development post by Jeremiah Clark.

Kudos to PEAK events committee member Tina Radtke for being selected to serve on the Funds for At-Risk Youth Panel for the Tennessee Arts Commission.  We are so proud of you, Tina!

Small Business Festival will take place across the Tri-Cities from May 3 to May 5.  There is currently a need for presenters, both entrepreneurs and those who provide professional services (accounting, legal, marketing, insurance, etc.)  If you’d like more information or would like to volunteer, please contact info@startuptri.com and tell them we sent you.  PEAK is proud to support this event.

Have a great week!
